On May 29 intercultural event was held at Kutaisi State University, where ethnic minority students of TSU one year Georgian language program met the faculty of Pedagogics and the students - future teachers of Kutaisi State University.

In the framework of the project "Incorporation of Multicultural Education Approaches in Teacher Education Programs" CCIIR organized public lecture at Batumi State University.

On May 22 teachers and the students from different public schools of Marneuli district visited Gori State Teaching University, where they met the faculty and the students of teacher education program.

On March 27-29, in Bakuriani Center for Civil Integration and Inter-ethnic Relations conducted gender sensitivity training for the educational practitioners.

In the framework of the project “Development of Bilingual Literacy in Minority Schools of Georgia” CCIIR has disseminated Bilingual leveled textbooks of "Reading Ladder" to non-Georgian schools of Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions.

Center for Civil Integration and Inter-ethnic Relations with the cooperation of Tbilisi State University and Samtskhe-Javakheti State University conducted professional development trainings for teachers -"Bilingualism and bilingual education principles".

Center for Civil Integration and Inter-ethnic Relations has been implementing the project “Development and Introduction of Multilingual Teacher Education Programs at Universities of Georgia and Ukraine” funded by the European Commission TEMPUS program.

Center for Civil Integration and Inter-ethnic Relations jointly with the the National Center for Teacher Professional Development has conducted the informational meetings with teachers.

CCIIR has started to conduct professional development programs for teachers in the framework of the project “Development of Bilingual Literacy in Minority Schools of Georgia”.
